CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Basic Bead Stringing $20.00
Always wanted to make your own jewelry? Make a necklace and a pair of simple earrings. This includes use of all tools and base metal supplies. Call for supply list. You can bring your own beads & crystals or purchase them from us before class. Additional beads and tools are available for purchase to work on projects at home. If you have problems, be sure to take advantage of our FREE studio days.
Basic Chain Making $25.00, copper wire
Learn to make your own chain. Three different chain designs will be taught. All wire and tools for class will be supplied. You will end up with copper chain that could be used for bracelets or a necklace.
Basic Dichroic Glass $60.00
Includes all the glass needed to make about five pieces. Also includes use of all the tools to cut and shape the glass. Additional glass may be purchased for use in the class or to take home to work on projects. We also offer a firing service where you make pieces at home and bring them in and we will fire them for you up to $3.00 a piece.
Basic Grape Cluster Earrings $25.00
Includes the use of tools, and material except the beads. The beads that are used to represent the grapes are an individual’s personal choice. You can either bring beads that you have at home or select from our large selection of loose beads and strands. You will need 4mm & 6mm round beads. Depending on how large of a cluster you choose to make, from 12 to 24 of each size. We will take chain, headpins, round beads and ear wires and create an elegant and timeless pair of earrings.
Basic Metal Fabrication $35.00
Using Copper sheet and wire, you will be making a pendant and a pair of earrings. You will learn hammering, stamping, piercing, and other texturizing ideas to make one of kind pieces of jewelry.
Basic Pearl Knotting/Stringing $20.00
Ever wanted to learn how to string and knot a pearl necklace. Base metal findings and stringing supplies included. You must bring beads/pearls or purchase before class.
Basic PMC Bronze & Copper $90.00
Come learn the newest and hottest of the Precious Metal Clay. Materials and tools included.
Basic PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Silver $125.00
Includes all instruction, use of all tools, and one 28gr. package of PMC+ Clay and One package of PMC+ Paper. Additional Clay or Tools may be purchased for use in the class or to take home to work on projects. We also offer a firing service where you make pieces at home and bring them in and we will fire them for you up to $3.00/piece.
Basic Silversmithing $90.00
Class limited to four students. You will learn the basics of fusing with Argentium silver, this class you will be doing two projects. One will be a Fused Three band ring and the other will be a basic bezel pendant. Cost of class includes all supplies.
Basic Soldering $45.00
This class has been added by request of many people.
In this class you will learn to solder simple things like jump rings and take a piece of wire and make a headpin with a ball on it. Attach an end to a piece of chain or connect an ear post or earwire to an earring. You will learn to use sterling easy solder, silver paste solder, low temp alloy solder and even solder to solder gold filled pieces.
Basic Stone Setting & Mounting $20.00
Ever wanted to learn how to measure stones & set them in mountings? You will learn to measure, and mount faceted stones in a ring and pendant. This class will be done in sterling silver mountings with a choice of several different stones. Supplies included.
Basic Wax Casting Parts A & B $100.00
Learn the art of wax carving jewelry. The class consists of making a ring and a pendant in wax. Let your imagination soar. You will learn the basics of wax carving while creating a wearable piece of jewelry. Pieces will be cast in bronze.
Basic Wax Casting Parts C & D $100.00
This is the follow up class after your piece has been cast in bronze. You will learn to do the final finish techniques to your pieces of jewelry.
Basic Wire Fun da Metals $20.00, copper wire
In this fun class you will learn basics of making Ear Wires, Jump Rings, S-hook & Toggle Clasps, Basic Chain Construction, etc. Supplies included.
Basic Wire Work Necklace $20.00, Silver or gold tone round wire
Learn to make basic wire loops to connect to each other for a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. This is a stepping off point for other designs to be used, once the technique is done. Tools and some supplies are included.
Basic Wire Work-Going in Circles $20.00, silver or gold tone wire
Class consists of making a pendant and earrings in wire. You will learn to use a mandrel or dowels to form shapes, and a chasing hammer and block to texturize your jewelry pieces. The materials and use of tools are included in the cost of class.
Basic Wire Work-Tree of Life $25.00, silver or gold tone wire
This class is a pendant out of wire and beads. The finished item will be your interpretation of the tree of life. Depending on the size and color of your beads, the tree changes, and takes a life of its own. Tools and wire are included. Beads are not included. May bring your own or purchase before class.
Basic Wire Wrap Cabochon Pendant $40.00 copper, $45.00 sterling silver, and $50.00 gold filled.
You will learn how to make bindings and a bezel using four or more strands of wire to set a stone/glass cabochon. The basic class is mandatory for any of the rest of the wire wrap classes. Includes sterling silver or gold filled wire, bring a cabochon or you may purchase one before class in the store. Tools supplied.
Intermediate Silversmithing
This class takes off where the basic left off. We will make a cabochon style ring with a bezel and shank (solid or split), we will make a pair of earrings. They will be either dangle style or post. They will include multiple piece design, bezel making, stone setting. Possibly some granulation work and some piercing and cutout work. This class will be an all day class starting around 10am and ending around 5pm.
Intermediate Wire Work Snowflake Pendant $40.00 More info to come. Includes all materials, except beads.
In this class we will be working with different wire gauges. We will work with 18ga and 26 to 30ga all round. We will be incorporating small seed beads and Swarovski crystals into the project. This class is a little longer class taking as long as 4 hours, possibly a little longer if it is a large class. We build and combine many separate pieces to wind up with a fantastic intricate Snowflake Pendant.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Beaded Bracelet $70.00 sterling, $75.00 gold filled Pre: Basic wire wrapping
Includes sterling silver or gold-filled wire, and use of tools, you may bring your own crystals or beads. You will need a large focal bead and some smaller beads or crystals. If you need you may purchase before class in the store.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Free Form Cabochon/Crystal Pendant $45.00 sterling silver, $50.00 gold filled
Pre: Basic wire wrapping
This class goes into greater detail; in what is required to wrap a freeform or pieces with right angles cut into a cabochon or crystal. Includes sterling silver or gold filled wire, and use of tools, bring a cabochon/crystal or you may purchase one before class in the store.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Cabochon Ring $40.00, sterling silver Pre: Basic wire wrapping
In this class you will learn how to take a cabochon (preferably 25mm x 18mm) but you can use up to 30mm x 22mm. This is a basic ring; you will learn how to tighten up the bindings so that the stone stays secure during extended wearing. Cost includes sterling silver or gold-filled wire, and use of tools. Additional materials and tools may be purchased.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Cabochon Roped over Ring $40.00, sterling silver Pre: Basic wire wrapping
In this class you will learn how to take a cabochon (14mm x 10mm -18mm x 13mm is preferable) but you can use up to 20mm x 15mm. This is a classical ring; you will learn how to hold the stone in place by crossing over the stone with what appears to be delicate ropes at both ends of the stone thus keeping the stone secure during extended wearing. Class includes sterling silver or gold-filled wire, and use of tools.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Chandelier Earrings $40.00, sterling silver Pre: Basic wire wrapping
Includes sterling silver or gold-filled wire, and use of tools, you may bring your own crystals or beads. Or you may purchase them before class in the store.
Intermediate Wire Wrap Teardrop Spider Web Earrings $40.00, sterling silver Pre: Basic wire wrapping
Sterling silver or gold filled wire included, and use of tools. In this class you will learn how to take a simple briolette bead and wire wrap it so that it hangs inside a teardrop shaped web of wires to make a very attractive pair of earrings.
Advanced Wire Wrap Hinged Necklace & Chain $110.00 sterling silver, Pre: Basic wire wrapping
Learn in this newly added class how to make a hinged three stone necklace. Included is wire and use of tools. Must bring or purchase at store before class at least three cabochons, two must match in size.
Studio-Time $0.00 FREE
Bring any projects that you stated at home but need help on. This is not class time for new projects. This time is to be used for projects that require a little more time or to answer questions that came up during your class time, but still need extra help. Use your tools or ours. We will work with you to help solve the problems that you are having with any of class projects that you have started. Please call ahead for extra help in PMC, Silversmithing & Dichroic Glass.
